There is always a first time...

       I had a whole set of things which I had stored on my computer photographs, recipes and the various presentations I had prepared and presented. All was backed up on an external hard disk. When my laptop crashed I thought I had it all, only to realize that my external hard disk also had decided to pack up at the same time.Now I am starting afresh trying to recreate some of those memories.
              At the same time we were migrating from India to Indonesia to a place called Semarang which I heard for the first time. Moving to Jakarta and other cities had a lot of useful suggestions but none for Semarang. This is my contribution to those who may come across similar situations. I will try to answer questions for which I found no answers till I came here...

Today kick starts the anniversary of our final journey with Neville. What started as an self containing disease chickenpox became life threatening leukemia.  What is anniversary? 1. The annually recurring date of a past event, especially one of historical, national, or personal importance. 2. A celebration commemorating such a date. Anniversaries are joyous occasions when we thank God for what He has done in our life. What can we be thankful for when we have lost our son? Does it really make sense ? Letting Go... Moving On ... Is possible

T ime sure flies. It’s my birthday again today!! Never in my life have I looked forward to   a birthday as I have this year. Being born in April has its share of good and bad. I remember my birthday always being in the middle of my exams when I was a kid. The likelihood of my birthday falling on Good Friday or Easter was very high. Birthdays were never lavish or extravagant but I guess they were significant. As a young kid in my sixth grade I still remember getting a bicycle as a birthday gift, my husband surprising me with a birthday party, a family drive to my birthday dinner with my husband and 2 sons, where we shared what we meant to each other. Facing difficult situations in life... Believe God

Believe what? God, Myself, Family, Friends, Situation...... Well these are the things that come to my mind.  In my difficulty right now the only question I have now is WHY ME????? This makes me wonder how did I come into being? So is there is a power above me? Who created me? If it's my  dad and mum? Who Created them? Well I like to call this power God. Now there are so many God's Who is the true God? I was born and brought up in a strict christian family. In my younger days I did not like to read my Bible or pray. I feared my parents so did it with no conviction. But It was at that time my search for God began... I said  if I was born in a Muslim family  I would believe Allah was God. If in a Hindu family I would  worship the numerous Gods. Just because I'm born in a Christian family I am supposed to believe Jesus is God.
